What path brought you to The Dunstan Group?
I was in the event/wedding industry, and having known Scott for several years I took the opportunity to join him around the time he started The Dunstan Group.
What are you known for professionally?
Having a good and healthy attitude while wearing many different hats working in a small business! Catching details for invoicing and following up with clients and making sure they are happy with our services. Pitching in wherever needed, with shipping items, quoting, delivering, etc.
What do clients say about you?
Friendly, nice, and easy to work with. They appreciate the quick response when questions are proposed.
What did you do in your former business life?
I worked with brides and families planning for the weddings and events. Booked the spaces for events being held, answering questions about vendors, booking, communicating with outside vendors coming into event space, contracts, being present for and managing event at time it occurs, handling conflict at events and resolving issues that came up.
What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make?
Getting things done right the first time, and having the confidence that I have done them right. Helping clients and their needs, since every client is different.
Outside of The Dunstan Group’s great clients, what else are you in to?
Cooking, working out, yoga, spending time with friends, and just relaxing at home with my husband and dog Charlie, or relaxing at the beach or in the mountains.
What can’t you stop talking about?
Currently, tuna salad and how good Harris Teeter’s deli tuna salad is. MacLean and I talk about food in general. A LOT.
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
Hanging out with friends and bbq’ing, going to yoga, napping, or getting caught up on missed TV shows. Or I’m at the grocery store or the YMCA in Charlotte!
Where did you grow up and, if not here, why aren’t you there now?
Macon, GA. I came to Charlotte for college at Queens University of Charlotte and decided to stay since I loved the city after being here for four years.
Tell us about the nonprofits or community organizations you’re involved in.
I support Cookies for Kids Cancer since MacLean is a huge supporter of it and it is very close to her. Also, 24 Hours of Booty since they are a client and MacLean and Scott both ride in it every year.
Aside from the tuna salad, what else do we need to know about you?
I love chocolate. And dogs. If my husband would let me, I would have at least two or three!
