OK, so what IS going to happen with that old Nan and Byron’s space over in historic SouthEnd? Since the news broke that our friends at the Bottle Cap Group bought the place, there’s been speculation all over the place about what will, should, or could complement the neighborhood. And honestly, The Dunstan Group office was curious about what might happen there, too!
Our pal Morgan Conroy is Marketing Director for the Bottle Cap Group, but even she wouldn’t drop us any hints on what sort of restaurant might be coming to the new South End spot. It’s for sure their spot, she said, but had no news yet on concepts. Yes, this is a new space for the Bottle Cap Group, but they’re not new to the neighborhood. Their brands are all over South End, including All-American Pub, Hot Taco, Oak Room, and Slate.

Clearly, it’s hot property, with more than 20,000 people living and working in this cool, creative space – with more to come – according to the Historic South End website.
“South End’s vibrancy makes it a magnet for growth, including unique local retail and dining options, which residents, workers, and visitors continue to clamor for,” said Rick Thurmond, SVP Community and Business Development for Charlotte Center City Partners.
Mark Brown at Willow Oak Realtors knows a thing or two about South End. His office is in the neighborhood, and he says the area has at least three big things going for it: Location, location, location.
“There’s so much to do,” Mark added. “And you can get to the heart of the city with ease on the light rail, or hop in the car for easy access to surrounding neighborhoods, the lakes, or the Whitewater Center.”
Here at The Dunstan Group, we love how the South End area has embraced its heritage and its proximity to uptown and created a brand that’s both unique and reflective of the folks who live and work there. We’re sure our friends at the Bottle Cap Group will cook up something that both fits in and stands out!
