Building great communities is about more than designing buildings and hammering them together. It’s about supporting and encouraging fellow professionals to serve at their best and give back to the community that helped their success.
That’s the same mindset that drives The Dunstan Group, and founder Scott Dunstan is always looking for opportunities for the company to partner with businesses in building a better community. In this spirit, The Dunstan Group has joined the Carolina Chapter of BUILT.
“We’re super excited, as these are like-minded individuals,” says Dunstan. “They go about building their businesses very similarly to us — with a ‘relationship first’ mindset.”
BUILT National is a networking group for the real estate development, design, and construction industry that is committed to professional success for members, and fundraising for philanthropy. Nationally, BUILT supports The National Kidney Foundation, and raised more than $300,000 for them in the last year. The Carolina BUILT chapter’s philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House.
In addition to membership in the Carolinas chapter, The Dunstan Group has been selected as the national vendor for branded merchandise for BUILT. This will allow The Dunstan Group to expand its reach beyond the Carolinas to groups in Texas, Georgia, and Colorado, while helping a favorite local charity that serves the needs of sick children and their families.
Matt Marvel, Co-Founder of BUILT, says The Dunstan Group was invited to be a part of Carolina BUILT because of “their continuity, consistency, and leadership.” Marvel says businesses are invited to join when they share the same community culture as the organization’s mission.
“Their culture is a great match for us,” says Marvel about The Dunstan Group. And BUILT chose The Dunstan Group as its national vendor for the same reason, and their flexibility with the group’s needs. “Their response time is impeccable,” he added.
The Inaugural National Conference for BUILT in Sea Island, Georgia, energized The Dunstan Group team for both business and community service. “It was phenomenal and a great success!” exclaimed Dunstan.
