Wouldn’t it be great to be able to predict the future? To be able to look ahead and know for certain what’s going to happen, winners and losers, or hits and misses? Well, we’re pretty sure the folks at the Weather Channel might enjoy that level of certainty, but it would clearly take some of the interest and creativity out of most every other business!
Understanding the market, the business of marketing, and what makes branded merchandise and apparel a viable and valuable part in brand-building puts us in a pretty good spot to make some predictions for 2017! Before we head to our industry trade show, here’s The Dunstan Group forecast:
Drinkware: This perennially hot category will continue to be an impact-maker, with stainless steel bottles and tumblers leading the way.
Coasters: In a craft brew-loving environment, expect to see more than beer being promoted on these inexpensive items. We’ve had all types of clients take advantage of this space!
Tees: The cotton classic isn’t going anywhere, but expect the trend of better, softer blends to continue.
Utility: Products with intended use (openers, journals, drinkware, etc.) will continue to be market leaders.
Creativity: As we like to say, think “beyond the business card.” Users will be searching for more creative and interesting promotional products. We will, too!
