You don’t need an excuse to join the party, but Pink to Drink is about as good a reason as ever to enjoy a good time for a great cause! The fourth annual cancer-fighting fundraising event returns to SouthEnd on Thursday, April 20th.
Pink to Drink is a block party on a mission: to have fun and raise money for cancer navigation and survivorship. It all happens simultaneously at Sugar Creek Brewing Company (215 Southside Drive), Broken Spoke (227 Southside Drive) and The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery (4150 Yancey Road) from 6:00-9:00PM. Tickets include craft beers from some of Charlotte’s favorite breweries, live music, and BBQ and brats from ROOTS Catering.
Hosted by four of 24 Hours of Booty’s top fundraising teams – Team Reeb, Team LIBSTRONG/Drew’s Crew, Team Amwins, and Team Cotswold Cougars – “”Pink to Drink” is one of the biggest fundraising events leading up to 24 Hours of Booty. Last year’s event netted nearly $28 thousand. That’s the kind of big check we’d like we’d like to see get bigger every year!
“It’s a feel good event filled with a ton of pink-dressed folks out for a great cause, and supporting their friends and teams,” said Pink to Drink co-founder and Team LIBSTRONG/Drew’s Crew rider, Josh Jones. “For me it’s a very special event because the name was created in honor of (my daughter) Libby! To feel that love and support every year is extremely uplifting for our family.”
“‘Pink to Drink’ is one of 24 Foundation’s largest team fundraising events and a wonderful annual tradition,” said Mallory Walsh, executive director of 24 Foundation. “Seeing so many people coming together and forming a sea of pink for an evening of celebration, continuing the legacy of lives taken too soon and to further our mission is so inspirational. This event exemplifies one of the countless ways we are fueled year-round by extraordinary people who are committed to making an immediate, measurable and tangible impact on the lives of people affected by cancer.”
